Daniel De Francisco -who sometimes goes by his Black Lodge’s name Daniel Lavín- is an independent filmmaker and photographer, hailing from Spain and based in Japan. He studied filmmaking in his native country. After moving to Tokyo, Daniel directed the feature film Acrobats, which was selected for the Gijón International Film Festival, followed up by Anxiety, his sophomore film. In recent years, Daniel has shifted focus to his photography, capturing in color the energy of the streets in bustling Tokyo. His first photo book, titled Tsukiji Shijō, will be published by the end of 2019.
